FOSTER, Leonard Alexander
March 17, 1933~ May 9, 2010
Passed away peacefully at home with his children by his side after a brief battle with leukemia. He left to join his wife (sweetie) Jerry who predeceased him 15 months ago. Mom & Dad were married 48 years. Left behind with broken hearts are his children; Dalene (Todd), Marcie (Randy), Jim (Lisa), 5 adored grandkids Riley, Rachel, Cade, Blake & Colton. Dad was predeceased by his parents Redvers & Gladys and brother Monty. Sharing our loss are his sister-in-law Viki, nephews Doug and Randy and their families. As well as many other relatives and friends. Dad’s joys in life were of course his family, driving a stock car on Digney Speedway, hunting with the Bacardi bastards driving around in his 1935 Ford which enabled him to belong to the Totem Model A & T Ford Club.Dad proudly served on the Burnaby Fire Department for 37 years until he retired as a chief in 1993.
He was an amazing
man and will be deeply missed! As Dad would always say; “Pour 2”
A Celebration of Dad’s Life will be held at the Burnaby Firefighters Club on Saturday May 15, 2010 @ 5:30 pm 6515 Bonsor Avenue Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Boot Drive.
