FIELDING, Leonard Edward
One of the last true cowboys,
rode off into the sunset the night of February 9, 2017.
Born December 21, 1932 in Vancouver BC, Dad was a long time resident of Maple Ridge. In his teenage years he worked at Lubbocks Burnaby Lake Riding School, the major horse centre in the Lower Mainland. His love for horses drew him to the Lansdowne & Hastings Park Race Tracks and further to a dude guest ranch at Canim Lake. As an adult, he worked at Auto Marine Electric and BC Hydro.
He is survived, and will be sadly missed by his loving family, brother Doug (Sally), sister Margaret, Pat, children Cherie (Tom), Christine (John), Larry (Connie), Darlene (Mike), Mark (Dominika), numerous grand & great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and too many friends to mention by name. The family expresses gratitude to Emily and the Ridge Meadows Hospital staff for their kind, caring support.
