1929 - 2009
Leslie peacefully passed away in the arms of his soul mate Di in the early morning hours of April 20, 2009, their hearts becoming one. Born in England on April 26, 1929, the youngest of four brothers, Les immigrated with his family to Canada in 1949 eventually settling in the Lower Mainland where he worked for Dairyland for many years. Outside of work he loved to travel, play the piano and volunteer on strata councils always volunteering his vast musical and entertainment talents. He was married to Laverne Dooley for 50 years before her death in 2002. Predeceased by son; Robbie Jorden, brothers; Peter and Don and parents; Stanley and Beatrice. He is survived by his loving wife Diann, his brother Arthur, children Diane (Gary) and Terry (Kathy), step daughter Dena and grand children Sara, Zachery, Alexis and Gunter. A Celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm April 26 at the Fraserview Community Centre near 116th Ave. and 227th St. Instead of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
