BYRNELL, Lillian Grace (nee Semko)
Lillian, 81 of Pitt Meadows, BC passed away on February 25, 2015, peacefully at Ridge Meadows Hospital surrounded by her family. Lillian was born in Struan SK, on January 21, 1934 to Nikolai and Katherine Semko and was the second eldest of 9 children. In 1944 her father moved the family to Sardis, BC to continue farming in a milder climate. Lil worked for many years at Nabob Foods as a packer and was able to retire early with her husband Warren, so they could start new adventures in their RV. Lil is survived by her husband Warren of almost 61 years;
her 4 children, Rod (Debbie), Bruce (Lorraine), Karen (Bob) Light, Charlene (David) Milton; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents; as well as brother Ernie Semko, brother in law Russell McLean (Sr), sister in law Kieran Semko & great grandson Aiden Byrnell. Funeral service to be held at 11AM, on Friday March 6th at Maple Ridge Alliance Church, 20399 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Maple Ridge BC, V2X 3E2 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.
