February 15, 1939 - June 26, 2018
Lorne Kenneth Upsdell, a successful Businessman & retired Baseball Coach, long-time resident of Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows, peacefully passed away into Heaven on June 26th 2018.
Survived by his devoted children, daughter Kelly (Karl}, sons Daniel ( Holly ) Christopher (Naomi ) and loving grandchildren Anessa, Allison and Erin. Also survived by his sister Sharon and ex wife Carol.
Lorne was born February 15th 1939 in Penticton BC to Charles and Verona Upsdell. Lorne began working in Penticton at the age of 15 where he met and married Carol five years later. They then moved to Nelson for a short time before moving the family to Vancouver for 5 years before settling in Maple Ridge, where he started his longevity of coaching baseball of young boys, winning Provincial and Western Canadian Championships and having the honour of being inducted into the Ridge Meadows Hall of Fame.
Lorne's love of baseball helped shape and influenced many young boys futures. Nobody new the history of R.M.M.B.A. better than Dad.
Lorne's religious upbringing and strong ethics were passed down to his children and grandchildren.
