It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Elaine Soles. Margaret was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Robyn, Megan and Amelia and "GG" to her two grandchildren, Kaiden and Myra. Her family also included her close friends who loved her dearly and many who knew her as mum and GG. She will be remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her.
Margaret was born in Montreal in 1950, daughter of Kenneth and Geraldine Soles, and also spent time growing up in Edmonton and North Vancouver. She settled in Maple Ridge in the 1970's and raised her three daughters with their father Patrick. In the early 2000s she moved to Naramata and spent eight years in the sunny Okanagan. She returned to Maple Ridge to be closer to her family. They are all so happy that she did and that they were able to spend more time with her.
Margaret was a real estate agent for many years and loved working with people and helping them find their home. She was a beloved member of her community and active volunteer over the years with Girl Guides of Canada and other community based organizations.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Whonnock Lake Centre in Maple Ridge, BC on Thursday September 6 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which was a cause close to her heart.
