July 14, 1954 - November 27, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce Marilyn Jean Clarke passed away peacefully in her home, on the morning of November 27th, 2018. Marilyn is survived by her three children Dana Jean Klynsoon, Dean Andrew Salva and Jordan Davis Clarke; and her two sisters Caulene Thoms and Kelly Whyatt. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Julien, Jaden and Savannah Klynsoon as well as Ariah and Keon Salva. Marilyn was pre-deceased by her mother Marjorie Wilma Salva (nee Shaw), her stepmother Mary Salva (nee Alexander) and by her father Andrew Joseph Salva.

Marilyn was born in Penticton, B.C., but spent much of her childhood and adolescence in Calgary, graduating from Bishop Grandin High School and embarking on a nursing career at the Holy Cross Hospital. She moved to the Lower Mainland in 1984 and was employed by Service Canada for many years.

Marilyn was a bright candle who radiated warmth and love to all who knew her. Marilyn's home was always open to her friends and family. She was a great teller of stories with much energy and vibrancy. She was a loving mother, cherished sister and dedicated friend. She will be dearly missed.
