Marina Kovacs (Saddul)

In loving memory of Marina Kovacs (Saddul), Jan 14, 1938 - Sep 14, 2022, beloved wife to Steve, mother to Hannah and Edna and adored grandmother, sister and friend. Marina was born in Manila, received her BSc. in Commerce in Manila then moved to Canada in 1965, working as an accountant before joining the Peace Corp in Ghana, Africa.
She sponsored her family from the Philippines and today there are over 65 family members that have come of this sponsorship. She returned to school to receive her Therapeutic Recreation Therapist Diploma and worked at Riverview Hospital until retirement. Marina enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends and dedicating time to St. Patrick's Church for 40 years, visiting and providing the eucharist to those who were ill, elderly and home bound.
She pioneered the Legion of Mary at St. Patrick's Parish, serving as their president for many years. Marina lived a long, incredible, and fulfilling life.
To many of us, we owe our lives to her; she will forever be remembered in our hearts.Prayer Vigil Thurs Sep 29, 2022 at 7:30 pm and Funeral Mass Fri Sep 30th at 11:30 am, both at St. Patrick's Church, 22561 121 Ave, Maple Ridge.
