Mario Pasquale Di Giovanni

June 27, 2007

In loving memory of

Mario Pasquale Di Giovanni.

Sept.12,1934 ~ June 27,2007

In our deepest sadness we announce the passing of our father, husband, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, after an extraordinary and courageous battle with the merciless disease of cancer. Mario was pre-deceased by his mother, Assunta Gattone and Attillio Di Giovanni. Loved and always to be remembered by his wife, Joyce, daughters Elena (Bob) and Nina, sons Victor, Rudy (Amber), Eddy (Rhonda), and Walter (Vicki); grandchildren Marco, Robbie, Tony, Alli, Abigail, Annie, Alex and Zach; sisters Aurelia, Maria and brother Leo.

Mario came from Francavilla al Mare, Abruzzo, Italy to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1955. He was a man of the earth and of his family.

Working in construction all the years of his life, his early days in Prince George and Terrace to later years when he returned to the Lower Mainland, everyone who knew him said he was the hardest working man they had ever met.

He loved to laugh and make people laugh. He loved the simple things in life. He loved the outdoors, his garden, and beekeeping. He was also a phenomenal chef and winemaker. He was a man who could never sit still and was always helping others. He will always be remembered as “Pa” and will be dearly missed.
