KINGSBURY ~ Marjory Elizabeth
November 04, 1921 – March 11, 2006
Our mother was born on November 04, 1921, the daughter of William (Darke) and Perri Kreut. She was the only child born within the refinery gates at Imperial Oil Ioco. Mom is one of the original generation raised in Ioco townsite. She is predeceased by our father, George Kingsbury 1995 and her three brothers, William Kreut, Mick Kreut, and Arthur Kreut. Mom leaves her two sons and their wives Del and Charlotte Kingsbury and Jim and Shirley Kingsbury, 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Tammy, Jordan, and Kristoffer, great grandchildren Jordan, Dustin and Elizabeth. Mom taught mentally handicapped children at Beacons School in New Westminster in the late 1950’s early 1960’s, and worked for 22 years as an Occupational Therapist at Riverview Hospital, Essondale. Mom was an active member of the Port Coquitlam chapter of the OAP. She always talked about the Ioco townsite and the good times with the oilworkers and their families. We can still smile thinking about her riding her horse Lucky and the good times we all had then.
