August 20, 1964 - July 3, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mark Lucien Rodrigue on July 3rd 2020. He will be forever remembered with great love by his fiancé Laurel Schultz, daughters Tia, Crystal, Natasha, grand-daughter Myla, stepdaughter Savannah, sisters Carmen (Rick), Jean, Audrey (Frank), Doreen (Ray) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mark is predeceased by his father Lucien Rodrigue, mother Rita Rodrigue (Magnan), and sister Elaine McFagan. Born at Royal Columbian hospital on August 20th, 1964, Mark was labeled a fighter with a congenital heart defect that required immediate surgery; he also required open heart surgery at 3 years of age.
He was raised in Coquitlam along side his 5 sisters where he still managed to be the centre of attention. Although he had limitations, he didn't want to be viewed as different and never let his health define him. Mark followed in his fathers footsteps and led a successful career in mechanical insulation. Mark married in his 30's and successfully raised three beautiful daughters. Mark loved being a dad passing on his life skills and passions.
Many will remember Mark's sense of humour and deep infectious laugh. Mark shared his last years with his beloved fiancé working to complete the renovations of their home and he was very proud of their accomplishments. Mark will be forever remembered: to his colleagues he was a hard worker dedicated to his craft, to his friends he was the loyal jokester, to his family he was a fun, loving, kind, strong, mentor, who never gave up. He left this world doing what he loved, fishing in nature.
