Martha Park passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, Sept 29, 2022, at Elim Village, Surrey, BC, at the age of 94.
Martha, born August 14, 1928, was the 11th of 13 children born to August and Bertha Hennes. Martha grew up in Eatonia, Saskatchewan and was a long-time resident of Maple Ridge.
She was a wonderful, caring and loving wife and mother, and family was her priority. Martha will be sadly missed by her children Roland, Cheryl, Gregory (Mary), Eleanor; grandchildren Luke, Nicola (Mike), Stephanie (Colin), Julia (Carol), Kelly; great grandchildren Jackson, Zachary, Westin; sister in-laws Lea and Bea; many nieces and nephews and her extended family in Germany.
After 50 years of marriage Martha was predeceased by her husband James in November 2008. She was also predeceased by her parents August and Bertha and all her siblings.
A special thank you to all the staff at Elim Village for the exceptional loving care provided to Martha over the last 10 years.
A Celebration of Martha's life will be held Saturday, October 29 at 11:00am in Surrey, BC at Elim Village, Harrison West Chapel.
