The King of the Road, The Silver Fox has been called home. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father Neil Douglas Higgins.
Doug was born in Shellbrooke, Sask. The youngest of 10 children of Ernest and Catherine Higgins, and moved to White Rock with his family in 1944, Doug went to school at Semiahmoo High School, and was an active member of the White Rock Community, Doug was a member of the Lions Club and in 1967 along with some other hockey parents was a founding board member of White Rock (Semiahmoo) Minor Hockey Association, hockey was a passion he passed on to his sons Neil and Scott along with a love of music and animals.
Predeceased by his 4 Brothers and 5 Sisters, Doug is survived by his sons, Neil (Lynn) and Scott (Shannon), his Grandchildren Rebecca, Madeleine, Jackson and Mackenzy, wife Terra and Hank his dog.
Doug lived life and never really was one to look in the rear view mirror.
Dad we Love You and will miss you.
