It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicole Aurelie Barley, after a long courageous and painful battle with cancer she is now at peace.

Nicole leaves behind her partner Chris Jarvie, and young daughters Isla and Irelynn, Father Scott Barley (Dolly), Mother Yvonne Meier (Dale), Grandparents Jim and Annette, siblings Michael, Carrie and Shashauna, and many Aunts and Uncles, and Nieces and Nephews.

Nicole will be remembered as a beautifully creative soul, who was a devoted and loving mother and wife.

Before her illness, in addition to being a full time Mom, Nicole was a talented artist, and ran her own photography, art, design and illustration business; Nicole Aurelie. She was happiest sitting quietly painting, taking pictures or creating art with her young daughters.

Nicole saw beauty in moments often overlooked, and shared this brighter world view with those cherished few she let into her heart.

To quote one of Nicole's favourite artists Claude Monet, "I love you because you are you, and because you taught me how to understand light", the world will be a darker place without her in it.

The family would like to thank all those who donated to the Barley-Jarvie gofundme campaign over the past 6 months, it lifted Nicole's spirits to know that so many of you cared about her and her family.

We would also like to thank the Christian Life Assembly Church on 232nd Street in Maple Ridge, for generously offering to host Nicole's Celebration of Life. The service will be held on March 16th at 1 pm, reception to follow.
