Born November 30, 1924 in Wilkie, Saskatchewn ~ July 21, 2008
With the greatest sadness, the family announces the passing of Olive on July 21, 2008 at McKenney Creek Hospice, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She is predeceased by her son, Bob in 1972, her husband, Bill in 1997 and grandson, Todd in 2008. She is survived by her loving children: Janet (Don) Kvaas, Dot (Gordon) Harty, and Jim (Micheline) Carruthers, as well as her beloved grandchildren - Devona, Wade, Jodie (Duncan), Jordan (Megan), Jesse (Karen), Tyler and Cody and her precious great-grandchildren - Basil, John, Shelley, Coral, Emma, Calvin and Sylvain. She also leaves one brother and sister-in-law Alex and Jean Goodall, in Alberta and one sister-in-law, Ialeen Goodall in Saskatchewan, together with her many nieces and nephews and all their families. She will be greatly missed by her special friend, Ed Kremsater and his extended family.
A gracious and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was greatly loved and will be very much missed, but never forgotten.
She was an extraordinary lady, so full of life, love and laughter. All the lives she touched have surely been enriched!
There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life at 11:00 AM on August 16, 2008, at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel - 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to the McKenney Creek Hospice Fund c/o The Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation or to the BC Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
