Peter Fairbrother

March 27, 1950 - January 31, 2023
Peter enjoyed his childhood on a farm in Maple Ridge with his parents Amelia and Herbert, and his siblings, David, John, and Mary.
He grew into a devoted friend, husband, and father. Beyond this he was consistently loyal, grounded, and ready to help.
His love of the outdoors and adventure brought him ongoing joy. Many great friendships and family memories were rooted in biking, hiking, and camping.
Peter was an active member of the Ridge Meadows Outdoor Club, where you could track him on top of mountains, clearing trails, or in a kayak almost any day of the week, and where he served steadily as president for the past five years.
Peter remained active and industrious as he lived with myelofibrosis for eight years culminating in leukemia. He passed peacefully at home with his family around him.
Peter is survived by his wife Evelyn, his daughters Dana (Oliver) and Carley (Clayton), and his three grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held 2 pm, March 25 at Fraserview Village Community Hall, 22610 116 Ave, Maple Ridge.
