It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Cooke on August 16th, 2020 of Pitt Meadows, BC
Randy is survived by his loving wife Kathy, his sons Christopher, Brian (Val), Jeremy (Jen) and daughter Lisa (Thomas) and his grandchildren Vanessa, Liam, Amadaya, Eyonna, Maxwell, Adrianna, Austin, Everly, Jackson, Silia , Faron, Benjamin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Mom , Dad and Brother and his old pal "Buzz".
Randy was born in St Catherines Ontario, he moved to San Jose California at the age of 14 and then returned to Canada at 24 years old where he met and married his wife Kathy in 1974 and raised his family of 4 children. Randy was well loved and known in the community of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows . He was a proud business man and mentor to many. Serving his community as a Real Estate Agent, Chamber of Commerce member and a city councillor for 3 terms in Pitt Meadows.
Many a time he could be seen walking with his best pal "buzz" in the mornings and evenings and chatting up his neighbours. Randy loved life, camping, golfing, fishing, travelling, he loved a good challenge and as many know, would never back down! He believed in himself and others and would never settle for "I can't", always encouraging his children and telling them they could do anything they set their mind to ...and they did! Randy put up a courageous fight after complicated surgery and then slipped peacefully into our Lord's arms surrounded by family. He will be greatly missed but more importantly , he will live forever in all of our hearts with endless fond memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to " Cure SMA Canada" his favourite charity and cherished cause.
Private service to be held August 28th 2020 and a "Celebration of Life" to be announced at a later date.
