JACKSON, Raymond Victor (Bud)

February 24, 1921 ~ July 10, 2008

We deeply regret to announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and good friend "Bud" Jackson. Bud was predeceased by his parents, and sisters. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 64 years, Grace and their children: Sharon (Gilles), Ron (Sharen) Brent (Donna) Craig (Joanne). Grandchildren, Raymond, Margo, Stephen, Jason, Dustin, Christina, Cheryl, Megan, Kailee, Bryan and Andrea, and 16 great grandchildren.

Raymond spent 4 years in the RCAF as a wireless operator. Upon graduation from wireless school he was stationed at Prince Rupert, transferred to Boundary Bay, then to Charlottetown.

Bud enjoyed many years in civilian life as a Canada Safeway Manager in Vancouver. He made some wonderful friends and later made a transition over to the Insurance business where he opened up Greenwood Insurance. He sold his agency, and retired to work for Doctors and Dentists, managing apartment buildings in Whiterock. He spent 10 wonderful years there. He then moved to Maple Ridge to be closer to his family.

One of his favourite pastimes, was to get into the motorhome with Grace, and they would travel the country with their good friends Ray and Maureen McElgunn.

Many thanks to Dr. Bartel, Dr. Surgenor, and Dr. Chapman also the nurses on 2 West of RMH, and the nurses at McKinney Creek Hospice.

Memorial service to be held at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge, BC. July 18, 2008 1:00PM

He will be greatly missed

by his family.
