Born June 14, 1951 in Victoria, BC Passed away on November 4th, 2021 in the comfort of her home in Maple Ridge, BC surrounded by her family. Annie will be remembered for her immutable love of laughter and her wholly uninhibited spirit which she carried with her on her travels all around the world to places such as New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Europe and Alaska, not to mention her greatest love, Ireland, where she visited five times pursuing her passion for genealogy. Annie made friends everywhere she went and her passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of all those who knew her. Annie is predeceased by her parents Regina Lepitre and Neville Shanks and is survived by her six children Jason (Carley), Anna (Brian), Carmela (Ryan), Emilio (Jessica), Roland (Natalie), and Gina along with perhaps her proudest achievement of thirteen grandchildren Rhys, Liam, Adelina, Gavin, Atticus, Finley, Zoe, Lucas, Roseanna, Dante, Sam, Accalia, and Viola. She will be missed by her six brothers Howard (Annie), Roland (Joan), Bill (Donna), Hugh (Rhea), Gordie (Marilyn), Sep (Joyce), plus literally countless nieces and nephews and the best life-long friends a woman could ask for.
