Renee, 81, of Maple Ridge, passed away on February 12, 2022. Renee is survived by her children Jeff, Julie and Keira. Her grandchildren Ava, Virginia, Cedar and Willow. Her sister Annalee. Renee was born in Toronto, Ontario on April 22, 1940. Daughter of Lawrence & Hilda (Sim) Ueberer. She had fond childhood memories of her relatives on Manitoulin Island. She married and the family moved to BC in 1976. After a career as a draftsperson and raising her 3 children, she returned to Ontario to attend Niagara College to pursue her true passion as a Landscape Designer. Renee graduated as a Horticulturist and a certified Master Gardner. She returned to BC and shared her knowledge of plants and passion for gardens. After retirement, she showed great interest in local/provincial politics, advocating for seniors and playing a good round of scrabble at the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society. Renee was an avid reader and enjoyed her friendships within the Unitarian Church. Renee will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
