PRKACHIN, Robert Edward (Ed)
Born March 20th, 1940, Sherridon, Manitoba, died suddenly and unexpectedly, May 18th, 2009, in hospital.
Son of Jessie (born, Staje, Slovenia) and John (born, Duzice, Herzegovina) Prkacin. Survived by brothers John & Ken, daughters Lori & Cherie and grandchildren Chantale, Rebecca, Justin & Benjamin, and by Barbara Martin, loving mother of his daughters and lifelong friend. Ed worked for over three decades for the Coquitlam School District as a teacher and administrator. As a father, friend and citizen Ed enriched all of us with his steady hand, humour, quiet generosity, intelligence and appreciation of the arcane. Visitation will take place Saturday, May 23 from 10:00 – 12:00 at MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn's), 11969-216th St., Maple Ridge. Service will take place at All Saints Parish, 821 Fairfax St, Coquitlam, Monday, May 25, 10:00 am with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, Ed’s family requests that memorial donations be directed to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of British Columbia and Yukon.
