It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Gilpin Tate on Monday April 13, 2009 in
Maple Ridge, B.C. Born 1924 Glasgow, Scotland - loving husband of 61 years to Lilian,
father of Ron Tate (Lynne) and Ann English (Chris), and beloved Boppy to Lindsay and Lauren English. Bob celebrated a rich life as; a skilled engineer, a talented artist, a master of the art of bonsai, a lover of great literature and music. He was an inspiration to all.
A service will be held Saturday, April 18th at Haney
Presbyterian Church, 11858 - 216th St. Maple Ridge at 2:00 pm. A reception will be held in the church hall following the service. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made to the BC Parkinson’s Disease Association 890 West Pender St., Suite 600, Vancouver, BC V6C 1K4.
