OLING, Robert George

It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to George today. The courage and dignity that George showed in the almost four years he battled with cancer, only served to make us more proud of the amazing person he was throughout his entire life.
Dad's greatest joy was his family and he treasured the moments spent with them. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years Audrey Oling, daughter Darlene (Mike) Gamache, son Garry (Loralee) Oling, loving sister Margaret (Dale) Storer, sister-in-law Edna (Pat) Hayward, sister-in-law Pat (Ed) James, and brother-in-law Jack (Linda) MacIsaac. He shared many special moments with his four grandson's Clint (Laura) Gamache, Derreck (Christine) Gamache, Jordan Oling, and Dallas Oling; also missing him very much are his treasured and loved great granddaughters' Brooke, Peyton, Jaylyn and soon to be fourth great grandchild in July.
A celebration of George's life will be held on Friday June 11th at 11:00 am at the Eagles Boy Scout Hall 23461 Fern Crescent, Maple Ridge.
Dad loved all animals very much and it showed by the many strays he brought home and nursed back to health - donations to the BC Cancer Society or BC SPCA or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
