SHARPE, Robert Stewart

October 10, 1955-October 21, 2010

With great sadness we announce the passing of Robert, beloved son of Theodore and Flora Sharpe. Raised in Pitt Meadows BC, Robert eventually moved to the Vancouver area where he continued his career in the financial industry, primarily in I.T. management. While still working in Vancouver, Robert moved to Maple Ridge BC in 1987 where he lived the rest of his life. Robert was an intelligent, generous person with a great sense of humour, and he had a great appreciation of the outdoors. Wherever he traveled he was always happy to come home. He especially enjoyed the autumn when he would pack up and go on his next adventure. An avid reader, he also enjoyed sports of all kinds, both as a participant and fan. He became a lifelong fan of the BC Lions after attending games with his father at Empire Stadium as a young boy.

Robert was predeceased by his father, Ted, in 2004 and is survived by his mother Flora, a resident of Willow Manor, Maple Ridge. He will be forever missed by his loving partner Louise, his ‘little black wolf’ – poodle Cole, his sisters Leslie (Tom) Holtby of Greendale BC, Laurie (Walter) Morley of Delta BC, brother Lindsay ‘Ted’ of Germany, nieces Danika and her daughter Ashlin, Brenna (Todd) Ewing and their son Holten and daughter Delaney, and Alanna (Jarek) Naslund and their daughters Olivia and Audrey, nephews Scott (Alana) Morley and Leland (Lara) Holtby, in-laws Gordon and Joyce Langton of Keremeos BC, sister-in-law Carol (Jim) Polvi of Port Moody BC and their sons Gregory (Beth) and Jonathan, as well as many friends and relatives.

A celebration of Robert’s life may be arranged at a later date and close relatives and friends will be advised.
