Roberta Edna Franklin (nee Dyson) aged 94, passed away peacefully Dec 14th, 2017 at Maple Ridge Hospital after a courageous battle with pneumonia.
Roberta was born October 7, 1923 in Tudor, Alberta, daughter of Robertie and Edith Dyson. The family moved to Armstrong BC. They then moved to Hammond and it was there that Roberta met the love of her life, William (Bill) Franklin and raised a family of 4 boys.
William preceded her in death in December 2007.€ Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Robertie and Edith Dyson, her brothers Ken, Don, Neil, Paul, Jack and Cameron and her sisters Vernice, Dorothy, Winnie and Maxine.
Roberta is survived by her sons Barry (Terry), Russell (Cherie), William (Leslie) and Timothy, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved spending time with her family and was known for her friendliness, optimism, and her ability to make people feel comfortable and welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 - 2:00-5:00 pm at St. John the Divine Anglican Church Hall - 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge, BC
