KNAACK, Ronald William

September 6, 1933 - November 24, 2016

In Loving Memory

Ronald William Knaack was born September 6, 1933 Nelson BC. Well known long term resident of Maple Ridge, 1936-2014 and short term in 100 Mile House. Ron Passed away in his home on November 24, 2016 with his loving family around him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Lenora, his three children Rory Knaack (Desiree), Darlene Bakker (Peter) and Bonita Mercier (Gary) and grandchildren Zac (Katelyn), Brandon, Brooklyn, Tasia & Kiah. Ronnie worked at Haney Saw Mill, Whonnock Mill, Hammond Cedar, 10 years for Elmer Walskie in the Gravel Pit and Worfolk Trucking. In 1980 he bought his own Cat, Dump Truck and John Deere Excavator - everyday he loved to operate his machines and work for his neighbours on Thornhill & Maple Ridge area. Some will remember the sound of his guitar & singin' as he and his band played old country western dance music at many weddings, anniversaries & gatherings. Dad wholeheartedly lived his life to go the extra mile for those he was with.

His trust in Jesus' promise to resurrect back to life was clear to all until his last breath, and for those of us who have the same trust, we look forward to the fulfillment of the words "the meek will inherit the earth and delight in the abundance of peace" - Psalms 37:11. We happily look forward to hearing that guitar & singin' again.
