April 27, 1941 - December 16, 2019
Ross quietly left us with his wife by his side at home in Osoyoos B.C., after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Ross is survived by his wife Ann, children Teresa, Allan (Jeanette), Mark (Kathleen); grandchildren Alex, Andrew, Chris, Cortnie, Emily, Hannah, Jordhan, Nattasha, Rebekah; great grandchildren Benjamin, Cameron, Catherine, Clara, Elizabeth, Lucy, Olivia, Octavia and Sarah. Sisters Karen (Joe), Corinne (Eddy) and brother Gavin (Merrilee).
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Ross and the family moved to B.C. in 1966 settling in Maple Ridge. Ross worked at several jobs over his lifetime, but built a career as a heavy duty mechanic and long haul truck driver, finally working for Canada Post before retiring.
Ross loved a good joke, Guinness beer, his dogs, country music, dancing, gardening, boating and RVing. He was a proud lifetime member of the Alouette Power Squadron and a member of the Fraser Valley Dahlia Society for many years. Ross and Ann travelled extensively with their RV, visiting every corner of B.C and every province in Canada during their retirement, finally settling in Osoyoos in 2017.
Ross will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, kind heart and old jokes. He leaves a legacy of laughter and happy memories for every life he touched, most especially his family.
No service will be held at Ross's request and cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends for a famous Ross Wright salmon barbecue will take place in the spring.
