ROSS, Rosslyn Jean (Rossy)

Feb. 10, 1951 ~ June 4, 2009

Our dear Rossy passed away in her home in Maple Ridge where she spent all her adult life. She was predeceased by her parents Bob & Janice Cameron. Rossy is survived by her husband Maurice of 38 years, children Tami, Jayme, & Rusty, grandchildren Damian & Carter, brother Robin, sister Deborah (Debbie), sister-in-law Joanne, Mo, & Ellie, and numerous relatives on the Ross side, all of whom she loved dearly. Rossy lived in Ioco, went to Port Moody High, and graduated from Centennial in 1969. She met and married the “love of her life” Maurice in 1971, and together they had 3 children. Rossy was a dedicated wife and mother, and still managed a career. She worked for a number of years in the Maple Ridge Bingo Hall, but it was her job at the Royal Canadian Legion that she was most proud of. Waitress extraordinaire, story teller, stand-up comedian, all her customers loved her. Rossy spent endless hours at the bedside of legion veterans helping make their passing more comfortable. She has a huge heart and would always help anyone in need. Rossy loved her garden, walking barefoot in the grass, a good joke, crossword puzzles, taping her shows, a cup of tea, and most of all she loved her family. Please join us to Celebrate Rossy’s Life on Thursday June 11th at 11:11 am at the MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn’s). If you would like to make a donation in Rossy’s memory, please consider donating to the Western nstitute of the Deaf (WID).
