In Loving Memory

Roy Alvin Westman

Roy was born Feb. 3, 1938 in Whitewood, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully on July 22, 2008 with his family by his side.

Roy loved to spend endless hours in his garden where he quickly got his nickname "Farmer Brown". Roy loved his Saskatchewan Roughriders, fishing, hockey, The Young & Reckless, old western movies, country music and truck driving.

Roy had so much pride and joy for his children and even more so for his 6 grandchildren. Roy's favourite song was "Teach your children well and know they love you".

Roy leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years Marion, son Darwin of Burnaby, daughter Kim & Rick Meaver (Brandi & Kirk) of Williams Lake, daughter Kathy & Glen Westman - Wallace (Kaity & Stormy) of Maple Ridge, daughter Karen & Al Horne (Allan & Nequila) of Kamloops, his only sister Ida Mindel (Vern) her children(Rodney & Sandra and Families) of Quesnel, all his extended family & friends and his 4-legged furry workout companion, his cat Tucker who kept him mobile.

We the family would like to express our grateful thanks to Dad's dear friend Dave (how about a helping hand) Wilbur for all that he has done over the years for our Dad & Mom and to Dr. J Reid, Dr. J Takahashi and the nurses on 3 west of Royal Inland Hospital for their wonderful care and support for our husband, brother, father and grandpa.

Your needs in life were simple,

Your love for us was true,

As long as we were happy

You were happy too.

You gave us all you had to give,

Gifts, both great and small,

But most of all you gave us love,

The greatest gift of all.

No Service by request. In lieu of

flowers, give of yourself...

your love, your time, and resources to those in need.
