April 28, 1931 - July 6, 2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Ernest Dick, having lost his battle with congestive heart failure.

He was born in Crescent Valley, BC to Daniel and Connie Dick, and is predeceased by his sister, Gladys, and brother, Floyd. He is survived by his loving wife Elleanor and children, Gary (Catherine), Rodney, Wendy and Bunty "Marjorie", and grandchildren, Ryan, Lennie-Jane, Beau, Paul, Jessica, Marlo, Dianna and Natalie, and great grandchildren Freya and Ella.

In 1970, Roy formed Royell Western Urethane Ltd which was one of the first companies to apply sprayfoam to fishholds. This application led to Rod sprayfoaming fishholds in Chile. In 1986, with Gary at the helm of the business, Roy and Elleanor retired to Keats Island where he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, RV'ing, making bread and playing cards.

Roy earned his degree in life by being honest, hard working, and helping many family and friends along the way. He loved his 32 years on Keats Island, BC. He will be missed by many folks.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chakrabarti, Cheryl, Jamie, and Elisa at St. Paul's Hospital, and the staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital. On July 29, 2018, family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Roy's life at the family home in Maple Ridge, from 1 - 4 pm.
