WILLARD Roy Mervyn
Of Maple Ridge passed away March 6, 2009 at Ridge Meadows Hospital. He was born in Marshall, SK on January 10, 1923, the fourth of six sons of Bill and Lucy Willard.
Roy grew up in Lloydminster, SK and moved with his family to Haney at 18. He went to work at Hammond Cedar (BCFP) and remained a loyal employee until his retirement.
Roy was a very hard worker and for many years worked a second job on evenings and weekends at the Maple Ridge Hotel.
Roy leaves to mourn; his daughters, Anne (Giovanni) Marchi, Grace LaBossiere, and Kay (Brian) Reid, step- son Keith Griffiths, 9 grand- children and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as his brother Cyril and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Kay in 1995, his daughter Joyce in 1970 and his step-son Kevin in 1998.
His daughters would like to thank all his friends at Rosewood Cottage for the kindness that was shown him over the last four years.
