Shirley Jean Laity
November 4, 1947 – December 12, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Shirley, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Shirley was predeceased by her sister Janet and her parents Jack and Edith Laity. She is survived by her son Sean (Cheri), grandsons Nicholas and Malcolm, Nick and Karina, siblings Rodney (Antje), Walter (Val), John (Leanne), Valerie (Graham) and Susie Laity. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. She will be forever missed by her dog Buddy. Special thanks to Shirley’s loving and supportive friends, to whom we are so very grateful. All your help over the years was so appreciated. Many thanks to Dr. Lim and Dr. Yu for your care. Thank you also to Ridge Meadows Chemo Unit and McKenney Creek Hospice for their gentle care and compassion. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Ridge Meadows Seniors Centre, 12150 224th St. in Maple Ridge at 12:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society.
