KERKHOF ~ Simon
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Simon Kerkhof. He will be sadly missed by his wife Griet; his daughter Berber and son in law Jason; and grand daughters Afke and Sonja. He passed away peacefully in his home in Maple Ridge after many years of challenges due to illness. He was known for his great optimism in life. Everyone that met him knew him for being a very kind, wise and considerate man. He was an avid gardener and his favorite hobby was fishing. He had a great love for the outdoors and later in life enjoyed painting.
Our family would like to express many thanks to all the Physicians and Nurses that helped him throughout the years, especially the dialysis unit at Royal Columbian Hospital and Tri-Cities Clinic.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 22nd, 2009 at 11:00am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 22587 - 121 Ave., Maple Ridge, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Garden Hill Funeral Services, Maple Ridge in care of arrangements.
