Teesha Sharma Dream on until your dreams come true June 27, 1991-February 15, 2019. Born in Fiji and adopted to Canada, Teesha attended high schools in Maple Ridge as a top-ranked student. Escaping severe abuse, anxiety and depression, she emerged from isolation at age 22 determined to provide youth with the help she never received. Teesha quickly rose to the attention of the service provider community and presented at conferences provincially, nationally and internationally on approaches to youth mental health services and domestic human trafficking. Teesha joined the CEED Centre Society in 2015 as volunteer and in 2016 as staff, designing and delivering numerous Blue Door Youth Services programs. She passed away in the presence of her chosen family members. Teesha loved Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, therapy bunnies and her homeless youth charges. Her community celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 2 pm at Burnett Fellowship, 20639 123 Ave., Maple Ridge.
