It is with great sadness, that our family announce the sudden passing of Thomas Peter Frandsen at the age of 78. Tom leaves behind his sons Gary (Connie), Rick (Brandee) and Steve (Ashley), Chris, mother of his children, his precious grandchildren Kyle, Hayley, Madison, and Justin. Brother Don and sister Shirley (Al), Carly, Kerri and Kelsey. He was predeceased by his mother Helen, his father Frank and his sister Louise.
Tom was born in Revers, Sask , moved to Pt Moody when he was very young and grew up there.
At 25, Tom met Chris, were married in 1968, moved to Surrey where their 3 sons were born. Moved their family to Maple Ridge in 1975 where Tom was extremely well known and loved by so many people.
He was a Ridge Meadows Baseball and Hockey icon. When the boys were young, he started coaching minor baseball every spring and hockey in the Fall. Then he became a dedicated grandpa and could always be seen at the rink supporting Kyle and Justin or supporting Hayley and Madison at dance recitals.
Tom was a master carpenter. Skilled in so many ways, always wanting to teach someone new to do the job the right way first and take pride when you were done.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Tom was a gentle soul and would never say a harsh word about anyone. He touched so many lives, he will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
