It is with great sadness that we announce the gentle passing of Vera Joulie. Vera was born in Calgary, Alberta on August 19, 1919 and passed away on January 7th, 2007 in Blairmore, Alberta at the age of 87.

Vera is survived by her children Wayne (Laurie) of Cranbrook, B.C., Brian (Arlene) of Sundre, Alberta, Leighton (Bonita) of Honeymoon Bay, B.C. Della (Rick Keller) of Maple Ridge, B.C., son-in-law Fred Anderson of White Rock, B.C. and 26 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Del in 1995, her daughter Donna Anderson in 1994, her brother Ray MacPherson in 1999 and her grandson Ryan Keller in 2003. She was an avid reader and loved to write poetry. She was well known for her "open door policy", culinary skills, sense of humour, warm smile and her wonderful loquaciousness. No Service by request. There will be a celebration of Vera's life and legacy later this summer in Cranbrook at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Date and time to be announced.
