Vicky Denton (nee Roshchuk) peacefully departed this world to join her beloved husband of 64 years, Donald. Vicky is survived by her children: Don/Joanne, Diane/Shane, and Darrell/Cari; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Mathew/ Emily (Noah, Aiden), Tyler/Maria (Autumn, Izzy, Madeline), Nolan/ Malory (Silas), Nicholas/Heather (Maisie), Spencer/Emily (Daniel), Laina/James (Briella, Jax, Elias, Parker, Arlo, Oaklen, Hartlen), Cole and Parker; siblings Mary, Stella, Joe, Kazmir and Lorea and their families; Steve/Kerri, Marcus Mitton and Obi. Vicky was 1 of 10 children born to Wasyl and Sofia Roshchuk on the farm in Poplarfield, MB. She met and married Don in Winnipeg, moving to Burnaby before settling in Maple Ridge on an 8-acre hobby farm where they raised their children, animals and many gardens. Vicky was close with her neighbours and friends from church, thriving in her role as homemaker, mother and "farm manager". Later, in retirement, they moved to properties in Maple Ridge, Mission, Pitt Meadows and, after Don's passing, Vicky moved to supportive living in Maple Ridge, and Coquitlam. She was happy to host family and friends in her home, caring for grandchildren, exploring her passions with cooking, crafting and gardening. Vicky and Don often traveled throughout BC, Alberta, Winnipeg, California and Arizona, and to the annual family camp out at Shuswap Lake. She was strong in her faith, quick with a joke, a kind word, a recipe, compassion and a hug. We are forever grateful for the incredible care provided by staff at Belvedere Care Centre in Coquitlam. Vicky was laid to rest beside her husband at Valley View Cemetery, Surrey, BC on May 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
