Passed away peacefully at Ridge Meadows Hospital in her sleep on August 19, 2008. Born in Grimsby, England came to B.C. age 2 years. She lived in Stave Falls, Maple Ridge and spent the last 18 years living at the Boardwalk. Violet was predeceased by her husband Charlie and son’s-in-law Olé Johansen and Joe Ordog. Violet is lovingly remembered by her three daughters; Mary Johansen, Jean Ordog and Shirley Douglas (Dick), many grandchildren, great grand- children, nieces, nephews and friends. Violet celebrated her 101st Birthday on June 26, 2008.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 23rd at 2:00 pm in Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel 11969 – 216th Street Maple Ridge. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. In Violet's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
