ROMNEY - Walter Arthur (1920 - 2005). Peacefully, on May 26th, 2005, at Creekside Manor, Maple Ridge, B.C. Beloved husband of Betty, his son Greg (Deb), granddaughters Jessica & Kristen of Sugarland, Texas, step-daughter Margaret (Harvey), Montreal, step-sons David Barden and his son Charles of Seattle, and Bruce Barden (Donna) their daughter Stephanie and son Scott of Coquitlam, B.C., and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Genevieve and brothers Al (Velma) and Noel (Ruth). Born in British Guiana, raised in Montreal, he worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia, mainly in Montreal, for over 40 years. He was proud of his service overseas (1939 - 1945). He received medals in Italy, France, etc., and was in Holland when the war ended. Thanks to Drs. Karmali and Gopinath, the staff and nurses at Creekside Manor for their care and kindness. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. or a charity of own choice appreciated. Memorial Service Thursday, June 2nd, 2005 at 1:00 PM in St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge. Royal Canadian Legion Honors, Branch 88 attending. Rev. Charles Balfour officiating. Cremation.
