Wayne Allison Mitchell

September 23, 1939 - January 19, 2020
Wayne Allison Mitchell, of Maple Ridge, BC, went to be with his Lord on January 19, 2020, after a valiant battle with cancer and various other illnesses.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 11 am, St Paul's Lutheran Church at 12145 Laity St., Maple Ridge.
Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife, Trudy Mitchell (nee Andrews), his son Michael Mitchell, and daughters Shawna Van Aert (husband James Van Aert) and Joanne Davis (husband Rod Davis). He is also survived by his sister Trudy Boutwell, and brother Terry Mitchell; grandchildren Katarina and Jesse Mitchell, Alexander and Shane Van Aert, Chandelle Lint, and Karessa Saliken; great grandchildren Jackson, Amelia, Elijah and Asher Lint.
Wayne was born in Summerland, BC, on September 23, 1939, to Victoria May Johnstone, and Harvey Lawrence Mitchell.
He was a devoted husband and father, a loyal friend, veteran, animated story-teller and avid outdoorsman. He was a religious man that devoted much of his life to various church duties and activities. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
