August 2, 1965 - October 25, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable man after a courageous and hard fought 2-year battle with cancer.
Wayne was born in East London, South Africa. A life lived selflessly for family, friends, and strangers. Wayne is survived by his wife, Janine, son, Josh, daughter, Nicole and son-in-law, Braydon. He is also survived and greatly missed by extended family and friends in South Africa, Canada and around the world.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the caring medical team who walked this journey with us. Special thanks to Dr. Warmenhoven, Nurse Sandy and the Palliative & Home Health nurses whose consistent love and support allowed Wayne to stay at home until the last week.
Thank you to Dr. Andrew Collins and the entire staff at McKenney Creek Hospice where Wayne received excellent end-of-life care.
Thank you to our amazing family and friends who gathered with us on November 2nd to thank the Lord for the precious gift of Wayne's life and to share the wonderful hope Wayne had in Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Breath of Life.
