Wendelyn Dawn Schiller (nee Hansen) was a beloved mum, grandma, sister and friend. Filled with love and positivity Wendy (aka Twig) lived a beautiful life. Born in Vancouver, Wendy was a member of the charter class at SFU where she learned to be a teacher. She shared her love of learning with countless kids over the years as a Kindergarten teacher. It was during her time at SFU that she met her partner for life - Fred Schiller. These two souls had an immediate and strong connection and between them created a life filled with happiness.
Wendy was a talented gardener and she developed wonderful gardens wherever she lived, especially at her home of many years on the Pitt River and at her final home at Whonnock Lake in Maple Ridge.
We take comfort in knowing that F and Twig are now reunited in spirit. Wendy will be greatly missed by her many dear friends and her family: Sunny (Mike), Julie (Jason), Journey, River, Amber, Evan, Greg, Ruth and Moni.
She was surrounded by love right to the end and her legacy will be carried forward by generations of her family to come. A celebration of life will be held in Spring 2022. Condolences and messages can be sent to fandtwig@hotmail.com.
