GILLIES, William (Bill)
Passed away peacefully on Dec. 22nd, 2010 at the age of 93 years. A long time resident of Maple Ridge, BC. Bill was predeceased by his mother & father Ella & Lloyd, sister Eleanor, brother in law Bill and his first wife Ruby. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife Hanna, step daughters Carolyn (Alan), Dianna (Casey), Donna (Bob), Cheryl (Jan), 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, sister Gloria, nieces Gaynor (Joel), Vicki (Bill); nephew Michael (Elaine), 6 great nieces and many friends. Bill was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion 88, The Lions Club of Maple Ridge and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2381 and also a member of the Golden Ears Winter Club. Bill will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humour and many stories. A service of remembrance will be held Sat. Jan. 8th, 2011 from 1-4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion 88, 12101-224th St. Maple Ridge, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridge Meadows Hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
