January 6, 1944 - January 24, 2019
William Harvey Sigurdur passed away unexpectedly on January 24th 2019 at 75 years old. He was born in Grahamdale, Manitoba on January 6th 1944 to parents Mary Thomas and Erlindur Sigurdur and was the second child in a family that included his 4 siblings; Bertha, Ken (Lorraine), Kris (Sharyn) and Bob (Adele).

Harvey spent most of his lifetime working as a transmission re-builder, working in various shops throughout BC and Alberta. He was a mechanic by trade, but was really a proud, quiet cowboy who dreamed of simpler times; a cabin in the woods, bonfires, playing cards and cutting wood, panning for gold and homesteading back in Manitoba. With his toothpick in his mouth and smokes in his pocket he was always up for a debate about current affairs and football. Harvey also enjoyed reading, a good cup of coffee, betting on the horses, playing the ever-elusive Lotto 649 and was known to never turn down a good bottle of rum.

Maple Ridge was his home for the past 11 years to be close to his two daughters, Stacey (Liam) and Andrea, and his 5 granddaughters; Adriana, Kaydence, Delaney, Averey and Cairis with whom he enjoyed many tea parties, puzzles, stories and afternoon walks.

Memories of good times together will be cherished by his daughters and their families, Jackie, Chad, his extended family, and long-time friends.

Dreams never die just the dreamer. You will be missed cowboy.

No service. A small gathering will be held on February 10th from 1 to 4 pm at his daughter's house.
