William MCINTOSH

March 10, 2005

McINTOSH - WILLIAM WAYNE, grandson of a pioneering Haney family, born May 15, 1943 to Alexander (Skip) and Winnifred (Binns) McIntosh died on March 10, 2005 after a short and courageous battle with a fierce cancer. Predeceased by his beloved sister Marlene Stadel and her two sons Peter and Paul. Wayne is survived by his daughter Ailsa Leigh, wife Marilyn (Stirn), stalwart sister Shirley (Jorma) Tuokko, Ed Stadel and brother Ron (Marilyn Oakes). His nephews are Randy, David, and Brian Tuokko, Mike Stadel, and Gordon and Vernon McIntosh; nieces Susan and Robin Tuokko, Dianne McIntosh; many grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Wayne's first employment was with his father's own McIntosh Sand and Gravel as a heavy truck driver. He drove reliably and well throughout his career. Whether gravel trucks, concrete pumps, or cement trucks, his passion was always trucks. Wayne is mourned too, by friends Fredericka Steele and the many cribbage players at Maple Towers, by his long-time partners-in-mischief Jim Hammer and Ed Morrison, and by life-long friends and buddies at Kirkpatrick Sand and Gravel. He was unique, and now he is gone. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 11:00A.M. at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765-224th Street, Maple Ridge.
