THOMAS William Douglas. April 13, 1933 to Dec. 1, 2012. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill on December 1st. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, son of Edd and Helen Thomas and in 1947 the family moved to Smithers, B.C. where he grew up. Bill was predeceased by his son Terry and daughter Linda. He is survived by Verna, his wife of 61 years, sons Tim, Rockne (Barb), grandchildren Brad (Kirsten), Tyler (Amanda), Karli (Mark), David, and great grandchildren Ethan, Taylor, Jaxon, Austin and Lucas, all of whom loved him dearly. Bill enjoyed sports, especially coaching his boys in hockey. He had a great sense of humor and loved entertaining family and friends and travelling in his motor home.
