MACKAY, WINNIFRED IRENE HELENE, born in Vegreville, AB on November 15, 1913, passed away peacefully at Ridge Meadows Hospital on Tuesday, May 4, 2004. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ronald Hugh and son Hugh Gordon Mackay and sisters-in-law Norma Carswell and Florence Noot. Helene will be remembered by her daughters, Anne (Tom) Grainger and Jane MacKay; three grandsons, Neal and Colin Midgley and Toren Grainger; a sister, Betty Macvey and sister-in-law Jeannie Emery, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. A gentle, faithful and dignified lady who was a tireless volunteer and ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. A celebration of Helene's life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at St. George's Anglican Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helene's memory to Aunt Leah's Independent Lifeskills Society or to St. George's Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
