Regarding cartoons by Ingrid Rice: Are you obliged to print all of her cartoons, or are they chosen at your own discretion?
I am not a member of the NDP party, but I found it shocking to see the July 28 cartoon about leader Jack Layton.
Most people would have felt nothing but empathy towards an obviously very sick Layton, when he announced he would be stepping back as party leader. To see such an insensitive cartoon about a man fighting cancer left me wondering what kind of person would draw such a thing … and print it?
