Don’t worry about a roadblock or two

Editor, The News:

Re:  Police force just becoming a revenue collector (Letters, March 2).

Perhaps if people actually obeyed the laws which are created to protect the general populace, our fine law enforcement officers would not have to waste their time on seatbelt checks.

Drivers should be paying attention to driving, wearing seat belts and not texting, phoning, eating, reading, doing makeup or any of the other ridiculous behaviours that drivers seem to feel they are entitled to do while operating a deadly weapon.

As for your liberty being threatened, Steve Halas, only the guilty feel threatened. If you are doing nothing wrong, don’t worry about a roadblock or two.
