Dear Editor,

Before COVID, parking was poorly run by a private company.

Under that system, you paid in advance at the entrance for a time period you had to guess at.

If you required more time, it meant getting back to pay more cash (a thing few people carry anymore).

RECENT LETTER: Growth brings higher taxes and traffic jams

and

ANOTHER LETTER: Maple Ridge senior can’t afford tax hike

If you missed the expiry time, you got a ticket.

People using the hospital don’t need this kind of stress.

Learn from the past, using a system in which your licence plate is registered, pay with a credit or bank card when leaving the parking lot.

Simple. Right?

B. Schill, Maple Ridge
